Last 28 September 2012, a team of employees of Sohbi Kohgei, Phils., Inc. (SKPI), headed by its Admin Head, Mr. Archie A. Arcaina, turned over seventy six (76) units of Developing Reading Power books to Bugtong na Pulo Elementary School in Lipa City, Batangas.
Bugtong na Pulo ES is one of the schools near the vicinity of the Lima Technology Center where the plant of SKPI is located. It has a school population of 855 students from Kinder to Grade Six and 22 teaching staff. The donation of books aims to enhance the reading skills and comprehension of the students in preparation for higher grade levels.
During the school visit, employee volunteers from SKPI also assisted in covering the books donated.
Funds were generated from the 870 kilos of used lead-acid batteries (ULABs) SKPI has donated to support the Motolite-PBSP Balik Baterya Program.
