Last April 11, Motolite recognized its strategic partners and donors in a luncheon event at Summit Ridge, Tagaytay.
Its strategic partners that were recognized include PBSP, the Society of Fellows in Supply Management (SOFSM), the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and the Department of Education.
Special awards were given to the following companies: to Nestle Philippines, Inc. for engaging its supply chain, to San Miguel Yamamura Packaging Corporation for its company-wide support to the Motolite-PBSP Balik Baterya Program, to Pfizer, Inc. for engaging its fleet and employees and to PEZA-Mactan Economic Zone for engaging all its locators.
The Balik Baterya Program also feted its top donors: 1) PLDT, 2) Smart Communications, Inc. and 3) KEPCO Ilijan.
Donor companies that were represented in the event all received Certificates of Appreciation for their support to the Balik Baterya Program.
Another highlight of the event is the launch of Motolite-PBSP Balik Baterya Program's support to the Pres. Corazon Aquino School Desk Project. Like Project LEAP or the Learning Enhancement Assistance Package, donated ULABs that will support the school desk project will now get premium value.
This support to the Pres. Corazon Aquino School Desk Project is Balik Baterya's way of responding to the 5-M shortage of seats in public schools nationwide.
One of the Aquino sisters, Ms. Victoria Elisa 'Viel' Dee, spoke on behalf of the project and urged companies to consider donating to the school desks campaign.
As the event closed, two companies, Atlantic Coatings, Inc. and Trans-Asia Power Generation Corporation, signed up as new supporters to the Motolite-PBSP Balik Baterya Program. Representing Atlantic Coatings, Inc is its EHS Manager, Ms. Gretchen A. Fontejon. Plant Manager Mr. Rafael Ponce represented Trans-Asia Power Generation Corporation. :)
Muli, maraming maraming salamat po sa mga patuloy na sumusuporta sa Programa!
