In 2010, Mt. Kitanglad Agri-Development turned over its first Motolite-PBSP Balik
Baterya donation consisting of 54 textbooks, mostly in English.
Earlier this year, the company had used their funds
again to purchase additional textbooks for their adopted school, Kilangi
Elementary School in Valencia City.
From the inventory of books submitted, the school
only has one copy each of the Science and Mathematics books for Grades 4 and 5.
For both subjects, it has a book-pupil ratio of 1:4 in the Grade 6 level. Thus,
from their donation of 738 kilos of ULABs, at
least 31 books in Science and Math were provided.
MKADC’s Mr. Gabby Deygabi turned over the books to
the school’s Head Teacher I Ms. Helen Lumbay.
